The Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing (SON) began in 1924 and is considered the oldest school of nursing in Israel. Over the years, the school has trained licensed practical nurses, midwives, and registered nurses.

The school offers:

  • Experienced teachers both qualified nursing instructors and specialized doctors.

  • Supervised clinical experience at the Nazareth Hospital and other health facilities in the area

  • Computer-assisted education

  • Access to up-to-date medical library

  • Counseling services for students

The Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing is open to all, without racial, ethnic or religious constraints. Here, in an atmosphere of support and encouragement, students gain practical skills and confidence as professionals. Each class consists of approximately 35 students, young men and women who see nursing as a promising career and a way to contribute to their communities.

Registered nursing program

Since 1994 the school has offered a three-year diploma in registered nursing, recognized by the Israel Ministry of Health. Upon completing their studies, graduates sit for the Ministry of Health licensing exam. Graduates go on to work in the Nazareth Hospital and in medical facilities throughout the country and internationally.
