Providing quality health care, in a spirit of love

For almost 140 years the goal of the Nazareth Hospital EMMS has been to provide quality health care, in a spirit of love, to all who need it, regardless of their ethnic background, religion, or ability to pay. This care is offered as a practical example of God’s love for all peoples.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Nazareth Hospital is a Christian Institution, independent of church denominational or political affiliation, which exists to glorify God and bear witness to his love as manifested in the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.

The hospital offers to serve who seek treatment, without prejudice to any religious or ethnic community and irrespective of social class.

It aims to present a standard of medical care appropriate to local needs and Health Ministry requirements, within its financial limits. In all aspects of care, co-operative teamwork, professional excellence and compassionate care are its objectives.

The Hospital will continue to provide these patient services and staff educational programs, in the Christian spirit of love and service.
